It's about time to repot!
Do you know when is the best time to repot a bonsai?
You probably have a general idea, but yes, it’s in the spring and fall.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the general guidelines are around February and March, and around September and October.

I previously explained the repotting process in detail.
I encourage NAGINOWA customers to use this article as a guide and try repotting their plants.
Now, if you’re growing bonsai as a hobby at home, many of you probably have your plants in small pots.
Plants, like animals, are living things.
As they grow, I highly recommend giving them a larger space to thrive.

Young plants in particular grow quickly, so their roots extend rapidly.
If the roots become too long and crowded within the pot, they may no longer be able to absorb enough water, which could eventually lead to the plant withering.
For this reason, it might be a good idea to transplant them into a slightly larger pot to allow them plenty of room to grow.
*Of course, pruning the roots and moving them back into a pot of the same size, just to tidy them up, is also perfectly fine.
However, since it is the peak season for repotting, why not take this opportunity to look at some slightly larger bonsai pots?
I have selected some relatively large bonsai pots from NAGINOWA, so I would be happy if you could take a look at them.
