Naginowa Shigaraki Ware Elegant Brush Marks Japanese Bonsai Pot 3.9 in.
This is a Shigaraki bonsai pot.
It features a beautiful pattern reminiscent of a misty landscape in a dark night, like that of Kaguyahime's ascent to heaven (from a Japanese folk tale)
To accentuate this beautiful pattern, you could plant a simple coniferous tree or bonsai tree to create a simple and modern atmosphere.
As each piece is individually handmade, there may be differences in appearance and feel from product to product. Please understand this beforehand.
This is Shigaraki ware. Shigaraki ware is a pottery produced mainly in the area around Koga County, Shiga Prefecture. Shigaraki is good at making large ceramics, and in the past, hibachi (brazier) was often made. In modern times, flowerpots, vases, and washbasins are also produced in large quantities. Shigaraki ware is also famous throughout Japan and the world for its Tanuki (Japanese raccoon dog) figurines.
