Naginowa Shigaraki Ware Burnt Lined Japanese Bonsai Pot 7.1 in.

Sale price$41.50

This is a Shigaraki ware bonsai pot.

It is a grayish brown color with a distinctive pattern of evenly spaced, raised tiers.

The simple but surface-like pattern can play a role in enhancing the bonsai, or if simple plants are planted, the pot can be used as the main decoration, making it a transformable piece.

Since each item is individually handmade, there may be differences in appearance and feel from product to product. Please understand this beforehand.

This is Shigaraki ware. Shigaraki ware is a pottery produced mainly in the area around Koga County, Shiga Prefecture. Shigaraki is good at making large ceramics, and in the past, hibachi (brazier) was often made. In modern times, flowerpots, vases, and washbasins are also produced in large quantities. Shigaraki ware is also famous throughout Japan and the world for its raccoon dog figurines.
