A bonsai pot with a flowing, wave-like form inspired by nature.

From above it appears oval, but from the side its gentle, uneven curves resemble ocean waves. The deep blue hue combined with this shape gives the impression of gazing into the sea — a truly captivating piece.

Because of its shallow depth, this pot is especially recommended for experienced bonsai enthusiasts who wish to try something unique and different from their usual pots.

Since each item is individually handmade, there may be differences in appearance and feel from product to product. Please understand this beforehand.

This is Banko-yaki. Banko-yaki is a type of pottery produced mainly in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture. It originated in the middle of the Edo period (1603-1868) and was named after the wish that the work would remain forever. "Ban" means "everything." "Ko" means "months and days gone by." In addition to bonsai pots, it is also resistant to fire, such as kyusu (teapots) and earthenware pots.
