The dynamic depiction of the high, surging sea and the contrast between the motion and stillness of Mount Fuji standing quietly in the background are skillfully composed.
Fuji, which fascinated Hokusai, and which changes its appearance from moment to moment depending on the season, weather, and angle of view.
