Here is a pot in which you can enjoy the scenery of "The Fifty-three Stages of the Tokaido", a masterpiece by Hiroshige Utagawa, a famous ukiyoe woodblock print artist, together with bonsai.
This is a bonsai pot depicting "Lake Hakone", the 10th stop on the Tokaido Highway.
The colorful depiction of a procession of feudal lords silently advancing through steep rocky mountains tells of the severity of crossing the mountain pass at Hakone in those days.
Like the landscape painted by Hiroshige Utagawa, the bonsai also shows various expressions when viewed from different angles.
