Naginowa Shigaraki Ware Fire Cord Rice Bowl

This is a Shigaraki ware rice bowl.

It is characterized by a pattern of reddish brown lightning-like lines on a beige background.

This is Shigaraki ware. Shigaraki ware is a pottery produced mainly in the area around Koga County, Shiga Prefecture. Shigaraki ware is also famous throughout Japan and the world for its raccoon dog figurines.
