Impressions from Pottery Market Visits
Hello, this is NAGINOWA staff.
Again, it has been almost a month since my last blog.
I know that those who look forward to my poor blog are curious, but I would be happy to have your company in my spare time.
June in Japan is generally known as the rainy season (tsuyu), which is a damp and unpleasant season with lots of rain, high humidity, and high temperatures.
But now the earth is in an abnormal situation. The news came in that the rainy season front has vanished from the weather map, which seems like a lie.
No front, which means no rain. It is just hot, the usual Japanese summer. Even though it is the rainy season!
So now, in June, Japan has been hit by the heat of the sun, so depressing that one might wonder if it is midsummer, and we are no longer able to dwell on the rainy season.
Let's put aside my summer complaints about the heat for a moment.
The other day, Japan went to a pottery fair at Ueno Station in Tokyo.
It was mainly tableware, but I had a wonderful time.
Beautiful glazed pieces, colorful pieces, austere designs, animals, etc....
It was an exciting time just to look at them.
In fact, we will soon be opening a separate store dedicated to tableware in our store, so please look forward to it!
Well, that's all for today.
Thank you all for your continued orders.
We hope you will purchase high quality bonsai pots made in Japan from our store!
