Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Omiya Bonsai Village!

Hello everyone.
This is NAGINOWA staff.

Here in Tokyo, where NAGINOWA's headquarters are located, the mornings and evenings have been especially chilly lately, making it feel like winter is just around the corner.
Well, the other day while I was out wandering on my day off, I noticed quite a commotion happening at Omiya Station in Saitama Prefecture.

In Saitama Prefecture, there's a town called “Bonsai-cho,” home to the wonderful Omiya Bonsai Village—a place overflowing with bonsai, featuring a bonsai museum and bonsai gardens!
And at Omiya Station, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Omiya Bonsai Village this year, 2025, they were displaying bonsai crafted by master artisans.
While some might think Kagawa Prefecture is the most famous place for bonsai in Japan, Saitama Prefecture is also quite prominent.
We at NAGINOWA staff blog want to share these precious, masterfully crafted bonsai—rarely seen otherwise—with all you bonsai enthusiasts.

How did you like them?
Each one has a truly breathtaking presence and a solemn, commanding aura, doesn't it?
I found myself completely captivated just looking at them.
Also, focusing on the pots, almost all of them were items available at NAGINOWA!
Somehow, that made me happy too.
I feel like the expression of the bonsai changes depending on the pot's color, shape, and depth.

I was unexpectedly able to experience the solemn world of bonsai and had a wonderful holiday.
If you ever visit Japan, I highly recommend stopping by Omiya Bonsai Village in Saitama Prefecture.

Well, that's all for today.
