Naginowa Shigaraki Ware Scarlet Rice Bowl

Sale price$124.00

This is a Shigaraki ware rice bowl.

It is a characteristic product with a white speckled pattern that looks like dancing snowflakes on the scarlet, a ground color that does not resemble either red or brown.

The warmth of the color will bring a sense of gentleness to your dining table.

Since each piece is individually handmade, there may be differences in appearance and feel from product to product. Please understand this beforehand.

This is Shigaraki ware. Shigaraki ware is a pottery produced mainly in the area around Koga County, Shiga Prefecture. Shigaraki is good at making large ceramics, and in the past, hibachi (brazier) was often made. In modern times, flowerpots, vases, and washbasins are also widely produced. Shigaraki ware is also famous throughout Japan and the world for its raccoon dog figurines.
