This is a Shigaraki ware Donburi rice bowl.

It is an austere piece with a two-layered design of black and light brown.

Although it is a bowl, we recommend it for noodle dishes such as soba and udon.

This is Shigaraki ware. Shigaraki ware is a pottery produced mainly in the area around Koga County, Shiga Prefecture. Shigaraki ware is also famous throughout Japan and the world for its raccoon dog figurines.
